ABOUT GEORGE CLASSEN

Modern Artist

George Classen’s world of art is dominated by a profound knowledge of classical music and ancient history, transforming his inspiration into endless variations of form and colour, fusing the acoustic with the visual.

Miami Herald, 1991

George Classen’s works show traits of abstract, cubist and occasionally surrealist art (e.g. Robert Delaunay, Pablo Picasso). Some of his works have an ornamentation that resembles works of art nouveau and, in terms of painting technique, resembles works by Gustav Klimt or works by Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
